This genius of a man was responsible for turning around the fate of a high end luxury label, read Gucci, from near bankruptcy to the sought after label it is today.
In his comeback to women’s wear showcase, he had some of his most glamorous friends and acquaintances from Hollywood, music, society and high fashion walk the ramp and wear his designs. Some of the women who walked the ramp for him were Natalia Vodianova, Karen Elson, Lakshmi Menon, Karlie Kloss, Beyonce and Julianne Moore
Did you know?
He was initially studying interior architecture at The New School’s famous art and design college, Parsons The New School for Design. Ford spent a year and a half in Paris, where whilst sending clothes to photo shoots, he realized his love for fashion.
He also served as a creative director for the French fashion label Yves Saint Laurent, now Saint Laurent.
He doesn’t like being called Tom, prefers “Mr. Ford”
